As we noted in July 2024 during our discussion of Larry Starr’s Listening to Bob Dylan, books that treat the musicality of Bob Dylan—his melodies, arrangements, chord structures, verse structures, and variations—are rare compared to books about lyrics, albums, philosophies, politics, culture, and biography.
