The next meeting of the Bob Dylan Book Club will convene at 2 pm Eastern (US) time on Sunday, October 12th. Our Book-Of-The-Month is Mr. Dylan’s own TARANTULA (published in 1971)

Our inspiration for focusing on Tarantula began with our July 2025 discussion of John Bauldie’s The Chameleon Poet. Bauldie had drawn from Tarantula, especially in writing about Dylan’s 1965 albums Bringing It All Back Home and Highway 61 Revisite. Tarantula is haunted by a wide array of characters, situations, confllicts, and searching for meaning, even the meaning of meaning itself. And in US, it is Halloween Month! Six of your fellow club members, Jeff Passe, Daniel Singer, Timoth Drake, Mary Connell, Jeff Harrison, and me (Peter White) have volunteered to lead the discussion. This meeting is your opportunity to jump into a much neglected Dylan project. The meeting link will be sent out in the hours before the meeting on October 12th.
