The Bob Dylan Book Club completes its second full year: 12 more months, 9 more books, 1 move script, 2 unpublished chapters, 7 author appearances

The July 13th, 2025, meeting marks the close of our second year as It’s Alright, Ma (I’m Only Reading), a Bob Dylan Book Club. A few quick observations: First, I kept being impressed with how multi-faceted and interconnected the world of Bob Dylan is! Second, I have repeatedly been pleasantly surprised by the generosity of authors—that they participate in our meetings and continue to engage through email when further questions arise. Third, the growing number and diversity of books is quite amazing. And last, there are many talented and engaged thinkers and writers within the club—this reinforces the idea that we should use the “adopt a chapter format” in order to get 5 or so Book Club members as discussion leaders. So expect fore of that in the coming year. AND DON’T FORGET WE ARE ON SUMMER BREAK IN AUGUST, WITH MEETINGS TO START AGAIN IN SEPTEMBER. MORE ON THAT MEETING AND SEPTEMER-BOOK-OF-THE-MONTH LATER! — Peter White
